HELLO,
FLOWER
LOVERS
Established by Gustavo Camacho and Tiago Bettencourt, BOSQUE (which means woodland in Portuguese) has been telling stories with flowers since 2018. Originally from Madeira Island, we are currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, thus developing and spreading our craft and aesthetic nationally and abroad.
We derive our inspiration directly from Nature and its magical seasons, pristine woodlands, meadows, and their great variety of wild blooms.
From these, Bosque has developed a style and identity of its own focused on the creation of distinct pieces, and fresh loose contemporary floral design, where the negative space and asymmetric angles appear instinctive, allowing the organic forms of nature to take centre stage.

As a Graphic designer, with a special interest in photography and editorial design, my journey in this project started with the design of our brand, and later by photographing all of our projects.
In 2021, together with the floral displays, I became a maker in our new Crafts segment, where we develop unique and sustainable handmade pieces that complement all the paths of Bosque.
As someone who plans a garden, our goal is to create several spaces and different trails where we are allowed a greater diversity of ideas and concepts, and where symbiosis, spontaneity and creativity are our precepts.

Linked to the study and exercise of Engineering for Urban Sustainability, I felt at a certain point that it was time to get closer to my childhood memories and my essence as a creative person. Born in Madeira and surrounded by the countryside, the experiences and customs around flowers, shaped my growth as a florist.
Flower by flower, what started as a small change in an Engineer's routine, quickly became an enriching walk through this woodland where, exploring the greatest potential of each flower, we offer unique concepts to our customers.
GREEN FLORISTS
As caretakers and protectors of what inspires us – Nature – we work towards juxtaposing this greater force with our flower designs in the most organic way. It is relevant to note that, because we talk about Nature as the main source of inspiration for our craft, it is crucial to be transparent and explore the subject and practice of sustainability in our business.
In the flower industry, this last subject is still a relatively recent and complex term, and we are still beginning to acknowledge its importance and integral meaning.
Considering the state of our planet, behaviours such as reducing our footprint as florists and raising awareness to this matter, among our customers and collaborators, are some of our main priorities.
As responsible florists, banning flower foam, which is very harmful to the environment, is not enough. We also need to prioritise the use of national flowers, wildflowers and flowers from small local growers.
Currently, although we are thankfully seeing a rise in offers from small and medium national flower suppliers, we are aware that these are the first but right steps in the sense of improving our industry and consequently promoting environmental and economical sustainability.
We will be happy to discuss this matter with all our customers and partners so that together we can celebrate in a green way.
